How To Maintain A Clean House

In a perfect world you would be able to wave a magic wand and your house would be clean from top to bottom. Or, you could even have a maid that would come to your house every day so that you wouldn't have to lift a finger. However, if you live in the real world and you want to maintain a clean house, here are some ideas that might help you to achieve that goal.

Get Your Children To Participate In The Cleaning - Even little hands can help!

Especially with summertime here, the house is likely to get messy. Consider making a rule that kids can't play until they have cleaned their own area. That sounds easier than it really is! Consider making a list that has to be checked off and presented to you. Besides the obvious chore of making beds, the list could include the fact that you're going to check closets and drawers and under the bed.

Besides cleaning their own rooms and bathrooms, it's important for children to participate in taking care of the rest of the house. Did you know that children mature better when they have responsibilities? They also become less self-centered and have a greater appreciation for their home when they invest in it.

Think about having a chart that lists extra jobs your children can do to earn spending money or to save for a particular goal. Things on the list could include polishing furniture, cleaning grout, polishing silver, organizing drawers and anything else that needs attention.

Set A Schedule For Routine Cleaning - Besides bedrooms, consider organizing a schedule so that maintaining a clean house won't dominate your life.

Consider designating each weekday for a certain room, and give yourself a time limit to do the tasks. For example, thirty-five minutes spent cleaning the family room on Mondays would probably work extra well since that room was probably used a lot over the weekend. Tuesdays could be the day the kitchen gets extra attention, Wednesdays could be for the living room and dining room together, and so on.

By setting aside a short amount of time each day to clean certain rooms, the rest of your day can be spent doing other things, and you can have the peace of mind that your house gets thoroughly cleaned every week.

Think about getting professionals to clean your windows. That's a huge job, especially if you have high windows. Hiring professionals, like those at Clear Blue Window Cleaners, means that they have been trained to do a thorough job by paying attention to detail. They'll bring state-of-the-art equipment and many will even use cleaning products that won't harm the environment. When the job is done, you won't see any streaking and your windows will shine. Consider setting up return visits so that your windows will look beautiful all the time.

Good luck in organizing the cleaning of your house.
